Thank you for your interest in adopting a new friend and companion. We at Paw Parent believe
strongly in what we do and want to make certain that the adoption is a joyful experience. After all, this
will be the start of a lifelong journey. Here's how to take the first step:
- Please browse our adoptable animals.
If you believe you've found your new furry friend, a personal introduction can be arranged at either
our weekly adoptions or at our shelter, whichever is more convenient.
- We request that you fill out an adoption application (either for a dog or for a cat -- forms available
soon). This will help us in our quest to place our animals with their perfect match.
- For the safety of our rescued animals, a home check is required as the next step in
the adoption process. We want to make sure that all fences, gates and windows are secure
and in good working order and that your home offers the safety and comfort our friends need.
- Once we feel that all the needs for the pet(s) have been met, the final stage will be the adoption
contract. This is the legally binding agreement between you and Paw Parent.
We also ask for a tax-deductible donation to recover some of the costs incurred while the
animal was under our care. All animals will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
When filling out the adoption form, please make certain that you thoroughly read the
section regarding our animal return policy. We care deeply about each of our animals and
want to ensure that they are always in loving and safe environments.
If for any reason you are unable to keep the animal, your donation will be refundable
only in the first two weeks after the adoption. After two weeks, no money will be refunded.
The animal must be returned to us. We care deeply about each of our charges and want to make
sure that they are always in a loving and safe environment.
